You'll often hear talk of knitting two socks at the same time, but what about other projects? Can you knit anything two (or more!) at a time?! You betcha!
In this class, you'll learn how to knit two mittens at the same time, from the cuff to the fingertips. You'll learn how to cast on for two mittens, how to navigate the process of knitting two things at the same time on the magic loop, and you'll have your choice of knitting an afterthought thumb or a gusseted thumb.
Prerequisites: you should know how to cast on, knit, purl, and the basic process of knitting in the round on a 16" circular needle.
Materials Needed
1. Yarn - Bulky Weight Yarn 200g - We recommend Queensland Collection Brisbane 2 skeins found in the shop
2. 47" circular needle in a size that will give you 4 stitches per inch with the yarn of your choice (this will be somewhere around a US11....depending on your personal gauge)
3. 47" circular needle that is TWO sizes smaller than the size chosen above.
4. Knitters basic tool kit: scissors, tape measure, tapestry/darning needle, ring stitch markers, locking stitch markers, crochet hook for picking up dropped stitches, paper, pen/pencil
