Granny Square Cowl

SO you want to level up your crochet skills?

In this class, you'll learn how to combine chaining and double crochets to make the iconic granny square design, which we will then use to create this chic and wearable cowl designed by Elena! A pattern and chart will be provided as well as hands-on help at learning this timeless crochet technique!

We’ll discuss all the parts that go into making a granny square such as the magic ring, counting stitches, spacing, changing colors, and finishing techniques.

Pre-Req: Students should be comfortable with crochet basics such as chaining, double crochet, and slip stitches!

Student Will Bring: 4.5mm crochet hook, a locking stitch marker, 1 ball of Saperlipopette (the fluffy yarn) and 50 grams of fingering weight yarn in a contrasting color(s). we used mini skeins from Rainier Roses
