Stranded Gnome (Knitting Colowork)
Gnomes are everywhere and oh so cute! Why not make a custom made gnome for yourself or as a gift? This little guy is designed for you to choose your own colorwork motif and plug it in. Twelve and twenty four stitch pattern repeats work great. Jamie Lomax's deck patterns are ideal to incorporate. You should be able to knit and purl to take this class, but may be a beginner at stranded colorwork or an experienced colorwork knitter who loves gnomes and wants to plug and play with colorwork stitch patterns. Bring your decks or your own patterns or choose from colorwork patterns provided with class. Choose your own colors and motifs to make your gnome for any season or occassion.
Provided by Instructor: Pattern, pattern graph paper, stuffing and weighted material
Please bring: size 5 double point needles or circular needles for magfic loop method, worsted weight yarn in the following approximations - 100 yards of main color (hat and coat), 25 yards of beard color, 50 yards of pattern yarn, and 15 yards of skin color for nose, stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle, and optional pattern motifs.
