Come crochet an amigurumi gnome named Stylin’ Stu, so named because he dons a new hat each month. In this July class, you will be making Stu and his July hat. To create Stu you will learn starting with a magic ring, crocheting in the round, shaping with increases and decreases, changing colors, spiral curls, finishing, and of course other amigurumi tips and tricks. Throughout the coming year, more workshops will be offered to make 2-3 hats per session. You may choose to participate in all so that you have all 12 hats or choose just your favorites. Some of the techniques we will explore when making the hats are mosaic crochet, intarsia, embroidery embellishments, various stitches and stitch patterns, and Fair Isle crochet. INCLUDED: Patterns, yarn, stuffing, and hands-on instruction will be included in the class fee.
