Thrummed Mittens

THIS CLASS HAS HOMEWORK!!!! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ THE WHOLE CLASS DESCRIPTION BEFORE REGISTERING. HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE EMAILED TO YOU, IT IS LISTED BELOW!

Do you want to make the warmest mittens possible for someone you love or perhaps for yourself? Well in this class you will learn just how to do this with a little bit of wool yarn and a little bit of wool locks. We will be thrumming which means we will be knitting wool locks into our knitting to form a cozy warm lining in our mittens. We will be making a child’s size mitten so that we can get through all the steps of mitten construction, but you will go home with the pattern to make men and women-sized mittens too. These mittens are knit flat and then seamed. I will share my tricks and tips to secure the locks into the knitting and how to get consistent, neat-looking fiber bumps on the right side of the mitten.
