Come crochet a basket with us. You can do this with just the basic knowledge of crochet. So come on knitters and crocheters alike, join in the fun. Once you make one, you will want to make others using the different sized bottoms available in the shop from small project baskets to wine containers, to large knitting baskets. The possibilities are many! In class we will learn how to crochet onto the bottom wood piece, how to determine how many stitches needed around the circumference for the shape you desire and to accommodate your stitch pattern (for future baskets), how to crochet in the round, how to crochet the spike stitch, and how to crochet handles and attach them. We will also discuss some add-ons, like lining your basket and creating a drawstring closure. These make great gifts!

Kit will be included in the price of the class and will contain: handouts, wood basket bottom and leather pieces for attaching the handle.

Materials for student to bring: size I hook (5.5 mm), 100g bulky yarn (we have a great selection in store!) scissors, and tapestry needle
