Welcome this miniature pair of gnomes into your home! They are knit using sock yarn scraps and stuffed with a wine cork instead of stuffing. The skills to make them include knitting and purling in the round, decreasing stitches, and I-cord knitting. The instructor will also show you how to knit with double point needles or circular magic loop method if you need help with this. In class you will make a girl and a boy gnome and get the supplies to make a third gnome of your choice. They can stand on a shelf or be made into ornaments. These little guys/gals are fun to make and gift to others who are crazy about gnomes. Finished size is about 2” excluding the hat.
Materials provided by instructor are: wine corks, sock yarn scraps, yarn for hair and noses, locks for beards, and pattern. No materials fee. Additional kits will be available for a small fee.
Materials for student to bring: size 1.5 mm double point needles or 24” circular needles (if you prefer using the magic loop technique), scissors, and tapestry needle
