Happily Hooked Crochet Granny Squares
Did you take the beginning crochet class and find you are “hooked” and want more or have learned the basic crochet stitches on your own and are now ready for more? Then this class is for you! We will do a quick review of slip stich, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet. Then we will jump into crocheting in the round, joining new colors, and reading a written pattern and charted pattern. We will be crocheting Granny Squares and exploring options for joining them so that you leave able to put together future squares into pillow tops, afghans, or shawls. Once you have these basic skills, the sky is the limit with hundreds of Granny Square patterns and variations out there. They are also a very portable project and a great use of leftover yarn.
