Christmas Stockings are a really fun way to learn the construction of a sock on a LARGE scale! In the class we will explore a short row heel with double wraps (wrap & turn is the only short row option for this particular pattern!)

Materials: You will need two colors of 100g worsted weight yarn (we recommend Deluxe Worsted!) US10 DPN knitting needles (US9 if you are a loose knitter).

Homework before class: Using double pointed needles and two stands of MC cast on 40 stitches, distributing the stitches evenly around 4 needles. Join in the round and work K1 P1 rib for 10 rounds/2 inches. Switch to one strand of each color. Round 1 *K2tog, K8; repeat from * to the end of round. 36 stitches total (9 on each needle) Knit all stitches for 40 rounds/8 inches
