Drop Spindling – The Next Step - $45 plus $10 materials fee – 3 Hours – Instructor: Teresa Waldo
We will be offering this class TWICE this month…it’s not a two-part class, we just wanted to give more opportunities to take this class!
Sunday, April 5th 12pm to 3pm -OR- Sunday, April 26th 12pm to 3pm
Are you ready to continue down your spinning path? If yes, this class is for you. We will fine tune and
expand our spindling skills. We will try different flicking and drafting techniques, progress to continuous
spinning, try plying options and ply our singles, discuss fininshing techniques, and try different length
fibers. Best of all we will learn about techniques and tools that help us spin the type of yarn we want for
a given project.
Bring to class: drop spindle, several toilet paper rolls, fiber you are working on currently, and any singles
you have spun that you wish to be plied (Instructor will also have some singles you can work with).
Supplies: An assortment of fiber is provided with the class; you will need to bring a drop spindle (which can be purchased in shop for $15 if you need one!)
Experience needed: some spinning experience.
