We are leaving the calendar as is because it's VERY hard to remove everything and put it all back. Since we don't know how long we will be closed, we are going to leave it all in hopes we can be up and running easier! Thanks for understanding.

If you have always been intrigued by spinners demonstrating their craft, have been curious about yarn construction, and/or have always wanted to learn to spin yourself, then this class is for you. We will begin with some background knowledge on drop spindles (history, types, anatomy, weights and mechanics, and supplemental tools). Then we will get down to business learning the steps to spinning a single on a spindle (choosing a spindle and fiber, starting with and without a leader thread, drafting techniques, winding on and building a secure cop). After spinning for a while and fine tuning our techniques, we will explore winding off options, plying options, and how to finish your yarn. And yes, you will go home a spinner!!

Cost: $ 55.00
In Crochet 101, you'll learn how to do all of the basic crochet stitches -- chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and triple crochet -- and you'll learn some tips and tricks for keeping your side edges straight and your stitch count consistent. Class includes everything you will need: Yarn, hook, instruction time and pattern?you just bring the hands!

Cost: $ 45.00
Are you ready to continue down your spinning path? If yes, this class is for you. We will fine tune and expand our spindling skills. We will try different flicking and drafting techniques, progress to continuous spinning, try plying options and ply our singles, discuss fininshing techniques, and try different length fibers. Best of all we will learn about techniques and tools that help us spin the type of yarn we want for a given project. Bring to class: drop spindle, several toilet paper rolls, fiber you are working on currently, and any singles you have spun that you wish to be plied (Instructor will also have some singles you can work with).

Cost: $ 55.00
In Knitting 101 we will learn the basics like the knit stitch, casting on and binding off. We don't have a project in mind (we like to call it a bookmark or coaster if you are really ambitious), but at the end of class, you will be sent home with our full "Learn to Knit Kit" that includes hours of instructional videos. Please note that this class is taught using the English method of knitting (yarn is held in the right hand).

Cost: $ 45.00
This is the perfect class for graduates of our Knitting 101 course, or anyone who wants to learn to knit in the round. We will learn the long tail cast on, brush up on our knitting and purling skills and begin to knit in the round. We will also discuss decreasing and using double pointed needles. During this class, we will knit an infant hat, but you will be sent home with instruction on how to create hats for any size heads! **** This is a two part class **** If you're a sock knitter, you might have suffered from one-sock-itis (aka one-sock syndrome), that dreaded lack of desire to start, much less finish, the second sock of a pair. Despair not, because we have the cure - knit both socks at the very same time! You're guaranteed to have two socks by the time you're done, and both socks will be exactly the same - no more trying to remember what you did on the first sock! We'll be knitting our pair of socks from the toe to the cuff - making it easy to get a good fit, and we won't have to worry about running out of yarn on the second sock. Whether you knit your socks using the Magic Loop or two circular needles, you can learn to knit two socks at the same time

Cost: $ 45.00
