Flax Sweater A Long

We are so thrilled to bring back the Flax Sweater-A-Long (IN PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT VIA ZOOOOOOOM!!!!!)

This isn't so much a class, but a gathering to work on the Flax Sweater together and help out at any point that you need help! This is great for someone attempting their first sweater or someone who has attempted a sweater but it never fits right!

Who: Anyone who wants to knit a top-down raglan sweater. This is a perfect first sweater if you haven't tried. You must know how to knit, purl, increase, decrease, use double-pointed needles and/or magic loop.

What: We will all be knitting the same pattern, Flax by Tin Can Knits
This sweater is available in a large range of sizes, looks great on males, females, babies, and is the perfect first sweater! You can view the pattern here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/flax

When: Saturday, August 14th, 28th, September 11th & 25th from 6pm to 8pm. You can come to as many or as few sessions as you would like. This isn't a class where we are all at the same spot in the project (except the first day), this is to help YOU on your journey to your first sweater. Make-up sessions will not be available if you miss a session.

Where: A Little Knitty 102 E. Main Street Auburn, WA 98002 (did we mention it's IN PERSON?????)

Why: Because you want to make a sweater, but want a little help along the way!

Cost: $40 which includes printing of the pattern, 8 hours of help time and 10% off your yarn order total!

Supplies you will need:
Worsted Weight Yarn in the following amounts:
Baby - 2 skeins
Little Kid - 3 skeins
Older Kid to XS - 4 skeins
Small to S/M - 5 skeins
M to M/L - 6 skeins
L - 7 skeins
XL - 8 skeins
2X to 3X - 9 skeins
4X - 10 skeins
Of course these are estimates and you can order JUST in case, and make an awesome hat if you have leftovers!

US6 and US8 in 16" and 32" as well as US6 DPN (or you can do magic loop with your 32") If you have an interchangeable set...that will work perfectly!

Do a stockinette swatch in the round on the larger needles before you come to class (if this is Greek to you, ask me for more information and I'm happy to provide it!)

If you would like to order some yarn for this project, we recommend Rios by Malabrigo - 100% Superwash Merino (you can select your color here: http://www.malabrigoyarn.com/rios and we will special order it for you and have it all balled up and ready for you to start your swatch before the class starts). Each skein is $15. Just select your color and email us at info@alittleknitty.com with the quantity and color. Please note, this is hand-dyed yarn and there are some variations in color, which we will address in the sweater-a-long.

Another yarn option is Deluxe Worsted by Universal. It is a more rustic, non-superwash wool that makes for a beautiful finished sweater. This yarn is $8.50 per skein and colors can be selected here: https://universalyarn.com/quality_color.php?quality=44
