- Payment is required to secure your place in the class.

- If you must cancel and do so at least 48 hours in advance, your fees may be applied to a future class.

- For classes requiring material, we kindly ask that you purchase materials at A Little Knitty, recognizing that you may already have suitable needles and notions.

- Please note, our Classes are held upstairs in the loft and there is not an elevator available in our old building.

Are you ready to take the next step in your brioche knitting!?! In this class, we'll learn to create the captivating lines and shapes possible when we combine the basic brioche knit and purl with strategically placed increases and decreases.

There are so many ways to create a sock, let Jen teach you her favorite! You will come to class with a tube, cut into your work and create a heel! This class keeps you on the edge of your seat, but soon you will be finding ways to cut into more than just socks!

Do you have a project (or two) that you are stuck on? Do you just need a little guidance to get started on that sweater you have always wanted to knit? Do you have questions that pop up while you are crocheting? Stitching Circle is for you! Our expert, Sandy will bring her many years of yarn crafting knowledge, you bring the project/questions. This is a great time for you to work and then as something pops up, you can get hands on help and advice! Sessions are $10 each, sign up is not necessary (drop in is great)…however, space is limited!

$35 - 3 Hours - Instructor: Allison Harding Saturday, March 23rd 3 - 6pm Learn to needle felt a lovely leaf (or other shapes) that you will embellish with beads, sequins and threads. Add a pinback to make a one of a kind brooch, attach to hair clip or use as a patch. Allison will teach you how to use all the tools, best fibers for needle felting, fiber blending, beading and embroidery stitches. All materials and tools will be provided. No experience needed! We recommend this class for ages 10 and older but under 18 should be accompanied by adult. Supplies: Students may bring embroidery threads, silks, yarn scraps, beads, sequins, favorite felting tools, if desired. Instructor will provide carded and dyed wool, embellishment yarns, threads and beads, felting and sewing needles, threaders, and holders, scissors, foam pads, shaping forms, pin and barrette findings, and embroidery stitch references.

Entrelac Scarf - $40 ? 4 Hours ? Instructor: Sandy Buzzelli Saturday, April 20th 10am to 2pm Entrelac knitting creates a unique and intriguing woven-look fabric, and it?s rather fun and easy to do! The art of entrelac knitting requires just a few special skills: picking up stitches, increasing, decreasing, and working short rows, all of which we?ll learn as we knit a stunning entrelac scarf. We?ll also have a chance to practice ?knitting back backwards? ? a skill that makes entrelac knitting easier to do and will have your friends thinking you?re a knitting genius! Prerequisite: you should know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.

In this class you will learn the basics of cabling, starting with two extremely simple cable stitches. Using these two stitches in a variety of places, we will create the richly textured panel of the ?Spoilers Hat?. Class will also include information on types of cables (not just the ones used in this hat), types of cable needles, how to read a cable chart, as well as include time for students to ask questions about any content not covered in the class. Prerequisite: You should know how to knit, purl, cast on, work in the round (by Magic Loop, Circular needles or DPN?s) and read a basic knitting pattern.

In Knitting 101 we will learn the basics like the knit stitch, casting on and binding off. We don't have a project in mind (we like to call it a bookmark or coaster if you are really ambitious), but at the end of class, you will be sent home with our full "Learn to Knit Kit" that includes hours of instructional videos. Please note that this class is taught using the English method of knitting (yarn is held in the right hand).

Working with just one hook and one stitch at a time, crochet is fun and easy to learn. In this class, we’ll explore several basic crochet stitches -- chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and half double crochet. We’ll learn to read crochet patterns and gain an understanding of how to keep row edges neat and straight. Our class project will be a pair of stylish fingerless mitts.

Sock knitting is a great year round project...and they make great gifts too! During this class we will learn the construction of socks by knitting a baby sock. You might not have a baby in your life, but it’s a great way to get used to working with small yarn and small needles and you are ready to create socks that fit you! The tiny sock also makes an adorable ornament! You will need: 80 yards Fingering/Sock Weight yarn and US1.5 (US1 if you are a loose knitter or US2 if you are a very tight knitter) Double Pointed Needles. If you would like to use the Magic Loop Method to create your socks, you will need US1.5-32" or 40" circular knitting needle. Please note this is a two part class. Class includes pattern and has no homework before the first class.

PHOTO COMING SOON!! Steeked Fair Isle Cardigan - $65 ? Three 3 Hour Sessions ? Instructor: Sandy Buzzelli Saturday, March 9th, 23rd AND April 6th 10am to 1pm This doll-sized project is perfect for learning how to knit a Fair Isle cardigan entirely in the round. Beginning at the lower edge, the sweater is worked completely in the round, with steeks for both the front opening and armholes. Along the way, we'll learn how to swatch for a colorwork garment, how to knit a stranded colorwork pattern, how to setup and knit steek stitches, how to reinforce and neatly finish a steeked edge, and how to pick up stitches for a buttonband and collar.

We've been seeing this popular headband everywhere lately, and we couldn't resist offering a class so YOU can learn to make it! In this class, you'll learn the basics of Tunisian crochet, including increasing and decreasing. Made with a luxurious alpaca/wool/silk blend, this headband will surely top your gift-giving list! Prerequisite: you should be generally comfortable with regular crochet and know how to chain and single crochet.
